Why I built Raise Them Ready
Our parents prepared us for the world they knew. We're preparing our children for one that's still being written.
I don't think any of us can predict exactly what adulthood will look like for our children.
Artificial intelligence is changing how we work. Technology is changing how we communicate. Many of the careers our children will have don't even exist yet.
As a parent, I found myself asking one question over and over again: "How do I actually prepare my children for that?"
Not just academically. But for real life. Money. Digital awareness. Critical thinking. Communication. Confidence. The kinds of skills they'll carry with them long after they've forgotten what was on a worksheet.

Adding, subtracting and comparing two-digit numbers in a real context.
- Pick any three Premier League teams and note their points, wins and goal difference.
- Work out how many more points the top team has than the bottom team of your three.
- Predict the final gap if each team wins their next two matches (3 points each).
- Pick any three teams. How many points separate the top team from the bottom team?
- If each team wins their next two matches, how big will the gap become?
- Which of your three teams has the best goal difference?
- Subtract the bottom team's points from the top team's points.
- Each win adds 3 points, so both teams gain 6 points — the gap stays the same.
- Goal difference is goals scored minus goals against; the team with the highest positive number is doing best.
